Fresh fron the success that was yesterday, and with a beautiful day in progress we all (the Macdonald clan and Dave & Sarah) all headed back to the estuary for a play in the sand.

The tide yet again was out, there was nothing but the river left.

No excuses with the weather today (At least not for canoeing) it was off the roof rack and down to the river bed.

This time all the boys had a go, with two of them only just being able to see over the front, great stuff...

You could see that Dave was itching to have a go, and with my leg beginning to cramp up, Dave went out for a quick paddle up the river on his own.

A couple of minutes later with Dave grinning away it was left to conduct the ultimate test for the health of the canoe. Yep I got in the front seat and with none of the bottom half of the canoe now showing we proceeded to battle against the current.

A few minutes later, and much laughing we found ourselves stuck on the bottom. Yep, we had run aground. (It was the current, honest...). We paddled around for bit and then drifted back to where Sarah had been waiting for us.

The result of the test was one water tight Canoe and the aceptance from Dave and Sarah to look after it from now on.

Despite the worry of the youngest, as we left Dave and Sarahs, that we shouldn't have left the Canoe behind as Dave might eat it.... a great weekend was had by all.

PS: I am now losing count of the number of times my windsurfer has made this trip and stayed on the roof rack.... :-(

Still the company makes up for all of that. Thanks to Dave & Sarah.
